Welcome to a space designed for transformation. Seeking support is the first step towards positive change and healing.

Recognising that something isn’t quite right and considering support is an important first step toward meaningful change. It’s not uncommon to downplay difficult emotions or hope they will resolve on their own. Given the ongoing stigma around mental health, reaching out can take significant courage.
If you’ve found your way here, that alone is a valuable step forward.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, adjusting to life changes, or aiming to enhance your performance, I’m here to support your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and growth.

Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. It's essential to find someone you feel comfortable working with.
Hi, I’m Annabel, and I’m truly honoured you’re considering working with me. I see therapy not as “fixing” but as empowering—helping you build clarity, confidence, and resilience. You’ll find a warm, non-judgmental space where your story matters and change happens at your pace.
My journey to psychology was unconventional—professional golfer, media presenter, and now therapist. This path gives me a unique lens on performance and the challenges we all face. I help clients navigate anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and stuck patterns using compassionate, evidence-based approaches like Schema Therapy, CBT, and IFS.

How I Can Support You
Anxiety and Stress Management
Anxiety and stress are natural responses to life’s challenges, but when they start controlling your daily life, affecting your sleep, relationships, and ability to enjoy simple moments, it’s time to seek support. You don’t have to live in constant worry or feel overwhelmed by everyday situations. Getting help isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a courageous step toward reclaiming your life and finding peace again.
Burnout Prevention and Recovery
When you’re running on empty—feeling exhausted, disconnected from things you used to love, or like you’re just surviving each day—it might be burnout. This isn’t a character flaw or something to push through; it’s your mind and body telling you that something needs to change. Whether you’re already experiencing burnout or sensing you’re heading there, we’ll work together with compassion to understand what’s depleting you and gently rebuild your energy, boundaries, and sense of joy.
Adjustment to Life Transitions
Big changes—whether exciting or unwanted—can leave you feeling like you don’t quite know who you are anymore. Starting a new chapter, losing someone important, or facing unexpected changes can bring up complex emotions and questions about your identity and future. It’s natural to feel unsettled during transitions, even good ones. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate these changes, helping you process the emotions that come up and discover your resilience as you step into whatever comes next.
Schema Therapy and Early Maladaptive Patterns
Sometimes our struggles feel repetitive—like we keep ending up in similar situations or relationships, despite our best efforts. These patterns often stem from early life experiences that shaped how we see ourselves and relate to others. You might struggle with perfectionism, fear of abandonment, or feeling not good enough. We’ll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, understanding their origins while gently developing new ways of seeing yourself and relating to others.
Trauma-Informed Care and Healing
Difficult experiences can leave invisible wounds that affect how safe you feel in the world, in relationships, or even in your own body. Trauma doesn’t have to be a single dramatic event—it can be anything that felt overwhelming or left you feeling helpless. You might notice yourself avoiding certain situations, feeling disconnected from others, or having reactions that seem bigger than the moment warrants. Healing happens differently for everyone, and there’s no timeline you need to follow. We’ll create a safe space where you can heal at your own pace.
Self-Compassion and Emotional Regulation
That harsh inner voice that tells you you’re not good enough, the overwhelming emotions that seem to come out of nowhere, or feeling like you’re too sensitive—these experiences can be exhausting and isolating. Learning to be gentle with yourself while managing difficult feelings is one of the most transformative gifts you can give yourself. Together, we’ll help you develop a kinder relationship with yourself and learn ways to navigate big emotions without being swept away by them.
Somatic Symptoms and The Mind-Body Connection
Sometimes our bodies speak what our minds haven’t yet found words for—stress might show up as headaches, anxiety as stomach knots, or overwhelm as tension in your shoulders. Your body is constantly communicating with you, and learning to listen to these signals can be incredibly healing. If you’re experiencing physical symptoms that seem connected to stress or emotions, we’ll explore this mind-body connection together, honouring both your emotional and physical experiences as we work toward healing.
Sports and Performance Psychology
Whether you’re stepping onto a field, stage, or into a boardroom, performance pressure can feel intense and isolating. Loss of confidence, fear of failure, or difficulty bouncing back from setbacks can make you question your abilities and love for what you do. Having been a professional golfer myself, I deeply understand the unique mental challenges that come with performing under pressure. We’ll work together to rebuild your confidence, develop mental resilience, and help you rediscover the joy in your performance.
Occupational Psychology and Workplace Rehabilitation
Work should ideally be a place where you feel valued and capable, but sometimes workplace experiences can leave you feeling stressed, traumatised, or questioning your worth. Whether you’ve experienced bullying, harassment, a workplace injury, or high-stress environments that have affected your mental health, these experiences deserve to be taken seriously. Returning to work after psychological injury takes courage and support. I’m here to help you process what happened, rebuild your confidence, and develop strategies for protecting your well-being as you move forward.
How We'll Work Together
01
Let's get to know each other
This first session is about understanding your story, what’s brought you here, and what you’d like to get out of therapy. It’s a safe space to share at your own pace. During this time, we’ll explore your current concerns, discuss your goals, and begin building the foundation of trust that’s essential for meaningful therapeutic work.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply the beginning of our journey together, where you can start to feel heard and understood.
02
Understanding the whole picture
Together, we explore patterns, experiences, and symptoms to make sense of what you’re going through. This step can help guide the most effective support for you. Rather than simply labelling your experiences, this process is about gaining clarity and understanding the factors that may be contributing to your current struggles.
Sometimes having a framework can be incredibly validating and help us choose the most targeted therapeutic approaches for your unique situation.
03
Mapping out a way forward
We work collaboratively to create a plan that fits your goals, needs, and lifestyle. This might include identifying focus areas, therapeutic approaches, and session frequency. However, keep in mind that this isn’t a rigid blueprint, but rather a flexible roadmap that honours your preferences, concerns, and what feels manageable for you right now.
We’ll discuss what success looks like for you personally and establish realistic milestones that keep us moving in the right direction while respecting your pace.
04
Doing the work together
This is where change happens. Through regular sessions, we explore challenges, build insight, and develop strategies to support meaningful growth and healing. Each session is tailored to what you’re experiencing that week, whether we’re processing difficult emotions, practising new coping strategies, or exploring patterns that no longer serve you.
This stage requires patience and self-compassion as real change takes time, but you’ll never be alone in the process.
05
Checking in and evolving
As we progress, we’ll reflect on what’s working and make adjustments to keep therapy aligned with your goals and needs. Healing isn’t linear, and what feels helpful at one stage might need to shift as you grow and change.
Regular check-ins ensure that our work together continues to feel relevant and supportive, and that we’re adapting our approach based on your feedback and evolving needs throughout the process.
06
Looking back and moving forward
When the time feels right, we’ll reflect on your progress, celebrate your growth, and discuss how to maintain what you’ve gained. This stage ensures you feel confident and supported as you transition out of regular sessions.
Ending therapy is a significant milestone. We’ll take time to acknowledge how far you’ve come, discuss strategies for maintaining your progress, and create a plan for any future support you might need. The door remains open should you wish to return for additional sessions.
